I'll Be Home For Christmas

After a trip to the gym and some visits from my lovely friends, I decided to go home to Texas two days early :) I was ready to see my fam :) Let me give you a quick rundown of the Rose Clan: They are so fantastic and crazy and just plum fantastic :) My parents, Steel and Angie, are still crazy in love after nearly 30 years. Their secret: Keep God the center of their relationship and continue to date one another. I used to find it slighty ridiculous how MUCH my parents were together. They own and operate a publishing company together and after working together all day...they want to go on dates in the evening time. It's just adorable. They have set an amazing example for what I want in my marriage. My oldest sister, Deseree', is the most intellectually impresseive out of the five of us (yes, five). She is a practining vet in Oklahoma City. She is one of the most intelligent people I know. I helped her with her medical presentations all of vet school, and she can pronounce some w...

Time to Grow Up

"I'm 22...it's time to grow up.." I cannot count how many times I have said that in the last three weeks. I'm not plannin on gettin all serious, but there are areas of my life, I need to get a tid bit more mature. 1) My Spiritual Life: I trusted my life to the Lord on May 15th, 1994, and some days I still feel like a baby Christian. It's time to step up. Read more. Trust more. Love more. 2) My Family Life: I'm not a teenager anymore. I have no excuse to blame others for broken relationships. I need to make the effort to change things. Also, I'm an adult. It's time for me to take on responsibilities I have always relied on my parents for. 3) My Love Life: I have had a ridiculous crush on the same guy since I met him nearly a year ago. When I say "Crush", it's somethin right out of the Mandy Moore song. I mean, he is a sincerely fantastic human being and I could go on and on about him, BUT, as I said..it's been a year....the boy sti...

Bloggin in a Coffee Shop

Goodbye 2010 School year... Fare-thee-well Fall Semester.... Adios mi amigo feo..... Finals week, for me, has come to a much anticipated halt. At exactly 1:30 am, I completed my last test, an online Human Development exam that I had been dreaded since the day I pushed "download" on the class syllabus. As I predicted, it came and went without much pain inflicted upon me. I've realized a very obvious truth lately. Things are gonna happen whether you stress or not. Matthew 6:27 finds Jesus askin the age-old question, "Can any of you, by worrying, had a single hour on to your life?" another translation reads "add a cubit to your height"....bein slightly on the lower end of the measuring stick (haha...get it? ;]) I understand wanting to do nearly anything to get taller....spoiler alert: Worrying and bein anxious will not make you taller or live longer...if anything, you'll make yourself sick and cause premature health complications that would otherwise ...

Don't Let Your Heart Be Troubled

Jesus said some pretty profound things. John 14:27 is certainly my mantra now-a-days. " Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." How sweet is that?! It is a steady hand on a shaking heart :) This mornin, I used that to full advantage. I set me alarm for 6 (after going to sleep at 4....stop judging) and woke up at 9(!) THINKING it was 10...the start time for my Stat final.....insert PANIC MODE!!!!!!!!!!! I quite literally looked myself in the mirror and said, "You HAVE to calm down! Pull yourself together!" I henceforth instated a "No freak out" policy. ....whooosh...my heart has not beat that hard or fast in a long while. Thank you jesus I was on time and even was able to stroll to class with my wonderful neighbors :) I've been keeping up with the runnin...about to go again here in just a little while. One more online final and this semester is DONE :...

Joy to the World

Hi team....sorry I've been a little absent. I went ahead and took the weekend off from bloggin' because it got a little hectic. I've been sick recently (who hasn't been) so I've been trying to take it easy best I can with finals and what not just around the corner..that corner being....about 3 hours. Don't you worry though. i have still be runnin' :) Highlights of the weekend had to be a lovely Girls Christmas Movie Night at Gabby's house on Friday night then sweater makin with Darci's lifegroup at our house and falling asleep to The Incredibles :) It was just so good to hang out with some super genuine human beings :) Saturday began with visiting my dear dear friend Sarah and Tarah :) LOVE THEM! Tarah organized a visit to a nearby nursing home. She arranged for an organization she is involved with to make goodies and take them to the lovely elderly. I tagged along for an opportunity to celebrate Christmas and talk to people :) The head nurse became ...

Dancer and Prancer

Passed midnight again, but i refuse to go to bed without bloggin this month. I will succeed at this challenge :) No runnin today, BUT I went two-steppin....figured that kinda of counted :) Tonight was the last bible study of the semester. My girls are so wonderful :) It so great to see how close we've all gotten. The study of Song of Solomon was so unbelievably rewarding. We had a good time gigglin through the poetic language, but we cannot deny the fact that we learned more than we bargained for about Love. AH! God is sosososo good :) It's crazy to think, nearly a year ago, I was worried I would not be able to minister to these girls the way God would need me to... Number 1: WHO am I to know what, or who, God will use. Number 2: He Equips, the call, He does not call the "equipped" He's Just so good :) Today will be a Double Blog Day....
