Boulder, Joyce and Barbie, Gandolf

HELLO!
I know, I know...I missed a couple days! That's gonna happen, BUT I will do my best to keep you up to date on all the adventures up here.

Saturday consisted of cleaning the Inn, training in front desk business, and taking my Momma to the airport. That was kinda hard :/ I realize I'm not "on my own" but driving home alone in the mountains, sure feels like it. I'm SOOO happy she was able to come with me and we could share the last couple of great days together.

I returned to the Inn and got ready for our dinner out in town. We go out to see what restaurants we will recommend to guests and which ones we will learn to not be like in our own service :) This particular dinner was DELICIOUS!!!! Everything had basil in it :) So, OBVIOUSLY, I was excited :) THE DESSERT! My MOSES, the desserts were amazing! We ordered one of everything and passed them around, like a true litte family!

When we got back, off to Boulder the WHOLE staff of interns went. The night started off but our lovely, wonderful Innkeeper asking if we had figured out who was attached and who was looking. She urged us to find this out so we knew who to too look out for this Summer. She is a silly ady. She also reminded us to always be on the look out for a handsome man, over 60, and very wealthy...it is now our mission to get her a man :)

First experience in Boulder? We got our cars locked in a high-end security, lock down, band parking garage..haha...whoops. Fortunetly(!), there was a very helpful security guard who showed up right in the nick of time. We asked him how we get our cars out and he explained someone like him could do it. So we asked nicely. He took us a block over to show where there is free parking that *BONUS* our cars couldn't get locked in. During this process, a group of sketch individuals were making slightly inappropriate comments towards the girls of our group, so we got onto the boys for not doing their "Baldpate Brotherly Duty" of protecting us, haha. We then went on a search for a place that everyone in our group could go (our age range is 18-24) We settled on BJ's on Pearl Street and just continued to have wacky conversations and get to know each other. Back to the Inn we went (about a 45 minute drive) We felt like rebellious teenagers bacause the front of the Inn was locked so we had to go around to the kitchen door haha...it was Sleepy City from there..

I'll post Sunday activities later this afternoon...I have to go to work, BUT get ready for some silly stories about my first time hiking...in the snow.

Cabin Fever

I want to run. BUT I am SO thankful for this time to work on school work. God is good and faithful :) It's just 5 short days until my FAVORITE day of the year: VALENTINE'S DAY! I know...I know... grumblegrumblegrumblegrumble Hear me out here: Forget about the pepto-pink aisles at WalMart lined with Love Note TUMS and enough candy to send you into a sugar coma for 19 months. Forget about the oversized Teddy bears that could double as couches if you ever found yourself in a pinch.Go with me here: Imagine a day where everyone has a little lift to their step, Imagine a day where sincere compliments are filling the hallways of offices and schools. Imagine smiles, all smiles, all day long. Imagine if for just one day everyone truly Loved their neighbor and treated everyone they met that day as a friend. That's the kind of Valentine's Day I'm rooting for :) More on that tomorrow :) Maybe I'll get to run too :)

Reason for the Season

"We love because HE FIRST LOVED us." 1 John 4:19 We are called to do as Christ did; Love...LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE! I cannot say that enough times. We are called to LOVE everyone. Love your fellow humans. There is absolutely NO reason to not love someone ESPECIALLY after you FIRST meet them. WHat have they done to you at that point that merits a no-love response? I'm not calling any one person out, I'm just sayin: If we are to truly live out a CHRISTian walk.....we best be lovin' on peole. CHRISTmas is a time of celebration for what our God has done for us. "For He SO LOVED the world, that he GAVE His ONLY begotten Son that who so ever BELIEVES in Him, should NOT perish, but have everlasting life." -John 3:16 The God of the UNOVERSE Loved YOU enough to send His Son to the Earth, live a human life, with human temptation, and die on a cross as YOUR scape goat. THIS IS A BIG DEAL! Some people cannot wrap their minds around someone loving them that much bec...

December :)

October is my favorite month, but December...oh December.....it makes me heart so happy. It's like the cute boy in your boring class who just makes it worth it. ......an oatmeal cream pie following a rigorous workout. Vanilla Raspberry Black Coffee at 5:30am.... ....a hug on a less-than-stellar day... ...a dress with pockets.... You get it. December is FANTASTIC! I am challenging myself to blog every day in December. As most of you have realized, I am a truly awful blogger when it comes to my consistency. I look at this challenge as a way to work on my reliability and commitment issues :) I'm glad I have YOU to hold me accountable :)
