Oh Hey, Y'all :)

Welcome one and all to my new (and first. yay!) blog about my crazy, awesome, blessed experiences in Estes Park, Colorado. I have an internship as a front desk agent at an Inn in that GORGEOUS location. As a Hospitality Management MAJOR.....I'm plannin on learnin a lot I just might use in the future.

Hebrews 13:2 inspired the name of this lil internet based newsletter to y'all. (and TRUST me..there was a LOT of brainstorming and debate on the title!)

"Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by this, some have entertained angels without knowing it." I've decided to make this my motto as I meet all sorts of new, wonderful people this Summer! maybe Gabriel and Michael will pop in for a night or two at the Inn ;)

I'll try my darnedest to make this blog an entertaining read. I will strive for once a day postings. (being a commitment phobe, I can't really make too many promises :/) I hope you understand!

Yesterday, my BEAUTIFUL madre and I headed North to grande ole Colorado from the DFdub. We've had such a blast chit chatting and making ridiculous comments [if you've met my mother and seen us together, you can just imagine the silliness we have discussed haha]

Some quotable moments would include:
~Welcome to West, Texas!~
Me: "Those cows are sitting in trees! Cows don't sit in trees in Oklahoma."
Sassy Momma: "Those aren't trees! They're GIANT weeds!!
*a few miles go by*
Sassy Momma: "Those trees don't have leaves.....oh....."
Me: "What?"
Sassy Momma: "That's a cactus......they are all cactus!"

~Dalhart, Tx has the NICEST PEOPLE!~
Lovely Gentleman at Valero: "Ma'am, I don't mean to be nosey, but where are you tryin to get to? My wife owns a bar in town, so I know just where to go if I know where you need to go. Grocery store? Follow me in your truck, and turn left at light, but I'm gonna turn into my wife's bar and you keep drivin and it'll be on the left. You have a good day now."
Sassy Momma(turned to me): "I'm gonna tell your dad I got me a new boyfriend in Dalhart."

Big Man with the Little dog: "He's my truck dog. I've had him since he was a pup. I've got nine rockweiler (yes, he said rock) puppies at home. Them my attack dogs."
Sassy Momma (to me): "People here really like to talk to me."

(In the Dalhart grocery store)
Sassy Momma: Sir, where would eye drops be?
Well-Meaning Store Clerk: Right over there by the pharmacy.
Me: Thank ya so much sir.
Well-Meaning Store Clerk: Yeah, Bam in your face!
^Insert rare silcence from my mom and I^

~Railroad Road~
Judy the GPS:"Continue on Railroad Road for one hundred and twentyone miles."
Sassy Momma: "Does railroad road GO 121 miles?!?'

As you can see, we're having a great time :) We've stopped in the lovely little town of Castle Rock for the evenin and we'll be heading up to Estes Park tomorrow [where I hear it's been SNOWING!!!!!]

Once I get settled in my new mountain home, I'' tell y'all ALL about it!!!

Have a Blessed Day,
Chelsea Rose :)

Dancer and Prancer

Passed midnight again, but i refuse to go to bed without bloggin this month. I will succeed at this challenge :) No runnin today, BUT I went two-steppin....figured that kinda of counted :) Tonight was the last bible study of the semester. My girls are so wonderful :) It so great to see how close we've all gotten. The study of Song of Solomon was so unbelievably rewarding. We had a good time gigglin through the poetic language, but we cannot deny the fact that we learned more than we bargained for about Love. AH! God is sosososo good :) It's crazy to think, nearly a year ago, I was worried I would not be able to minister to these girls the way God would need me to... Number 1: WHO am I to know what, or who, God will use. Number 2: He Equips, the call, He does not call the "equipped" He's Just so good :) Today will be a Double Blog Day....

December :)

October is my favorite month, but December...oh December.....it makes me heart so happy. It's like the cute boy in your boring class who just makes it worth it. ......an oatmeal cream pie following a rigorous workout. Vanilla Raspberry Black Coffee at 5:30am.... ....a hug on a less-than-stellar day... ...a dress with pockets.... You get it. December is FANTASTIC! I am challenging myself to blog every day in December. As most of you have realized, I am a truly awful blogger when it comes to my consistency. I look at this challenge as a way to work on my reliability and commitment issues :) I'm glad I have YOU to hold me accountable :)

Me: All Growed Up

My lanta! FOUR years? HOW? I absolutely love that this blog is still here (especially after mourning my xanga presence...RIP). Things are a little different now. I'm almost 30. I live in my dream apartment. I'm the Director of Community Engagement at a nonprofit in Oklahoma City. I ran another half marathon. I wear glasses. I traveled...everywhere. I started volunteering at a Children's Hospital. I overcame sincere fears of airports and hospitals. I started a Master's program. I loved. I lost. I ate. I slept. I danced. I laughed. I giggled. I stopped drinking coffee for a month...WHAT...it's been wild. Jesus is still my fuel and people are still me passion. Last post, I talked about the identity of this blog. Where was it going? What will it center around? I do that a lot. I want to do something and then I talk it to death. What's the central idea?! What's the plan?! How many times will I commit to post?! What's my big picture goa...
