Joy to the World

Hi team....sorry I've been a little absent. I went ahead and took the weekend off from bloggin' because it got a little hectic.

I've been sick recently (who hasn't been) so I've been trying to take it easy best I can with finals and what not just around the corner..that corner being....about 3 hours. Don't you worry though. i have still be runnin' :)

Highlights of the weekend had to be a lovely Girls Christmas Movie Night at Gabby's house on Friday night then sweater makin with Darci's lifegroup at our house and falling asleep to The Incredibles :) It was just so good to hang out with some super genuine human beings :)

Saturday began with visiting my dear dear friend Sarah and Tarah :) LOVE THEM! Tarah organized a visit to a nearby nursing home. She arranged for an organization she is involved with to make goodies and take them to the lovely elderly. I tagged along for an opportunity to celebrate Christmas and talk to people :) The head nurse became my bff for the day. I LOVE CAROL! She was so sweet to us and she has a sincere heart for her patients and residents. She later mentioned that the residents love Christmas carols...this lead to a slightly ridiculous attempt of 10 college kids looking up lyrics on smart phones and singing off key. It left everyone in smiles though :)

I did some runnin after lunch with that lovely group then went to Tayler's to get all Christmased up for the lifegroup Christmas party! Can I just say that they are some of the most legit people I have ever met. They are so very fun and precious and have a crazy big hearts for Jesus. It is just so great to see that fire in young adults our age....and we can still have fun without...ya know... :)

Woke up a lil sicky on Sunday, but Jesus helped my fight it by motivating me to run :) So for the record.....I only did NOT run Thursday and Friday..BUT I went two steppin on Thursday :)..it counts.

Yersterday was a great day to cozy up with my friends in local wifi enabled areas and cram into our brains all the business we justs honestly didn't deem important until this week...oops.

I'm done tomorrow :) so this will definitely be a "Blerssed to Bless" week. Let me know if you need ANYTHING!

LOVE Y'ALL!

Cabin Fever

I want to run. BUT I am SO thankful for this time to work on school work. God is good and faithful :) It's just 5 short days until my FAVORITE day of the year: VALENTINE'S DAY! I know...I know... grumblegrumblegrumblegrumble Hear me out here: Forget about the pepto-pink aisles at WalMart lined with Love Note TUMS and enough candy to send you into a sugar coma for 19 months. Forget about the oversized Teddy bears that could double as couches if you ever found yourself in a pinch.Go with me here: Imagine a day where everyone has a little lift to their step, Imagine a day where sincere compliments are filling the hallways of offices and schools. Imagine smiles, all smiles, all day long. Imagine if for just one day everyone truly Loved their neighbor and treated everyone they met that day as a friend. That's the kind of Valentine's Day I'm rooting for :) More on that tomorrow :) Maybe I'll get to run too :)

Reason for the Season

"We love because HE FIRST LOVED us." 1 John 4:19 We are called to do as Christ did; Love...LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE! I cannot say that enough times. We are called to LOVE everyone. Love your fellow humans. There is absolutely NO reason to not love someone ESPECIALLY after you FIRST meet them. WHat have they done to you at that point that merits a no-love response? I'm not calling any one person out, I'm just sayin: If we are to truly live out a CHRISTian walk.....we best be lovin' on peole. CHRISTmas is a time of celebration for what our God has done for us. "For He SO LOVED the world, that he GAVE His ONLY begotten Son that who so ever BELIEVES in Him, should NOT perish, but have everlasting life." -John 3:16 The God of the UNOVERSE Loved YOU enough to send His Son to the Earth, live a human life, with human temptation, and die on a cross as YOUR scape goat. THIS IS A BIG DEAL! Some people cannot wrap their minds around someone loving them that much bec...

December :)

October is my favorite month, but December...oh December.....it makes me heart so happy. It's like the cute boy in your boring class who just makes it worth it. ......an oatmeal cream pie following a rigorous workout. Vanilla Raspberry Black Coffee at 5:30am.... ....a hug on a less-than-stellar day... ...a dress with pockets.... You get it. December is FANTASTIC! I am challenging myself to blog every day in December. As most of you have realized, I am a truly awful blogger when it comes to my consistency. I look at this challenge as a way to work on my reliability and commitment issues :) I'm glad I have YOU to hold me accountable :)
